Christina Wellman:
Christina started with education technology as a volunteer at her children’s elementary school entering data for the library database when the first bar coded check out system was implemented there.
She knew then that her future was in education, and eventually went to college at Reinhardt. Working in the Broadcast Center with Long Distance classes and documentaries from across the nation she learned much about what students demand. Newt Gingrich taped the history courses for Renewing American Civilization at Reinhardt and Christina took this class on video
Support and training for customers at Kinko’s further fueled the desire to become an educator. And soon as trainer in the local training centers came a realization that there are still adults who still want to know and learn.
A decision to specialize in adult education brought her to continue school at Saint Leo University. Many types of instructors, and student activities were available online at Saint Leo, and Christina graduated in 2004 with a degree in Business Administration/MIS.
Christina created a resume website back in 1997, and now has her own virtual hosting server. She still develops sites for friends, and is always excited to make a new site for a local non-profit organization.
The future in adult education solidifies with a Master’s degree in Distance Education from University of Phoenix. Christina is an opportunist and believes that every part of government and every company desires a distance training program
Focusing on family and school at this time, Christina has two daughters and two grandchildren, and is looking for some new experiences content management or development in the education field to complement the occasional technology training she still does from time to time.
