Course Description
This course focuses on the business of distance education from a global perspective. Educational systems, cultural differences, as well as curricula of various global environments are explored. Students will study political and cultural issues that impact education and its delivery through distance education modalities.
Team Project
For the next five week, Team A, following the direction of the Instructor and the syllabus, will submit a new section of a “Best Practices” in the form of a website, developed from assigned readings, lectures, non-text materials, and research on the weekly topics on global e-education. As appropriate, we will append title section with new materials. At the end of week six, we will submit our final project with the recommended changes provided to use by the instructor.
Require Skills Inventory
Successful completion of the team project will require that one or all of the team members to have the following knowledge, skills, and experience: Among the required skills are 1) Web design, 2) project management, 3) interpersonal skills, 4) verbal and written communication skills, 5) graphic design skills, 6) knowledge of Internet protocols, and 7) time management skills. The team’s success will depend on everyone contributing quality content in a timely manner.
